2011–2014

Memento is a collection of spray-painted stencil portraits created in small makeshift studios across Kuala Lumpur. Seeking connection with both human subjects and the practice of spray painting I abandoned after leaving Tehran, I returned to the medium and developed a series of works celebrating portraiture and the emotional weight of displacement. Exhibited at White Canvas Gallery and Paradiso Lounge.
